What’s New?
We’re excited to announce a new feature aimed at enhancing communication between Special Education teachers and Spanish-speaking families. The AI Goal Translation feature, now available on goal pages with progress monitoring, will allow teachers to instantly translate IEP goals into Spanish with just a click of a button.
What Does This Mean for You?
As a special education teacher, you may work with students who speak Spanish as the primary language at home. Sharing IEP goals and progress with families is critical to supporting these students, but language barriers can make this communication challenging. That’s where AI Goal Translation comes in.
With the new Translation button, which appears to the right of the “Edit” and “Copy” buttons on every Anchor Page, you can instantly translate any goal into Spanish, including any edits made to the original text. This means the translated goal will update automatically whenever you make changes, ensuring that families always have access to the most up-to-date and accurate information.
We know that teachers are already figuring out ways to translate goals for their students with Spanish-speaking caretakers, so this optimization makes that process more efficient. No more placing sensitive student information into external translation tools or worrying about privacy or accuracy. AI Goal Translation does the heavy lifting for you.
How It Works
- Find a Goal with Progress Monitoring Resources
Use the learning goals, wizard or browse learning goals to find and select a blue goal tile. - Find the Translation Button
The new button is located on every Anchor Page, right next to the Edit and Copy buttons. - Translate with One Click
Click the Translation button and select “Spanish” to instantly see your goal translated. - Copy and Paste
Once you’ve received your translated goal, simply click the copy icon and paste it into your IEP system or any other document you’re working with.
