Goalbook Toolkit aids teachers in taking a standards-based approach to instructional design so they can create actionable learning plans that target their students’ individual needs. A small yet essential consideration that teachers must make as they design instruction is how they will keep all of their instructional assets organized for each of their students. Toolkit Library can help with that organization, we are excited to announce that we’ve made some changes to the library that will help you organize content into convenient student libraries.
Student specific instructional content, strategies, and goals won’t get lost
The updated Toolkit library helps educators put their students’ individual needs at the center of their instructional design process. This update is more than just a cosmetic change, we’ve optimized the library for organization and ease of use so teachers can better keep track of all the strategies and content pages they’ve saved for their students’. The old library housed all instructional content from all of a teacher’s students in the same place; the updated library categorizes saved content into individual student libraries.

It looks different but makes it easier to access saved content for individual students
The initial view of the library displays all of a teacher’s students with a summary of how many resources they’ve saved for each student. This means accessing content saved for particular students is more efficient.
Once you access one a student library, all of the collected resources are organized into two lists–goals and strategies. These lists can be filtered based on a subject area which optimizes visibility of student goals or strategies even further.
As we work alongside our district partners, we will continue to improve Toolkit so teachers can effectively design student-centered instruction. This is just the first step in improving the Toolkit library, our product team has plans to make it even better by making it easier for teachers to share student goals with colleagues and other stakeholders as well as optimizing organization for individualization. We will keep you up to date as these features are released.
